Reeson’s Ramblings :: April 29, 2018
I want to take a moment to recognize Lorelei, one of our second graders. She received the Eucharist as part of our First Communion Mass, but we accidentally left her off our listing of First Communicants in the bulletin and on our poster. It’s inspiring to see the deep faith of the young children who receive Jesus through the Eucharist. Their enthusiasm reminds me how special it is to receive Communion every week.
Hospitality is an important value for us here at St. Columbkille. We already do a good job, but we’re always trying to do better. I’m asking two favors.
- First, would you share ideas with me about how St. Columbkille can be a more welcoming parish?
- Second, would you prayerfully consider how you can help others feel welcome?
This weekend we can put our hospitality into action. There’s a bishop wandering around the parish for Confirmation and we want him to feel welcome. I want him to feel so comfortable here that he can’t wait to come back and make me a monsignor!
