Reeson’s Ramblings :: May 27, 2018
Though the weather held out for quite a while, it seems that summer is finally here, and it’s off to a quick start!
I want to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day and especially thank and remember those who have died while serving in the armed forces, as well as those who are currently serving our country or have served in the past. On Monday, we will be having Mass at 9:00 a.m. and a special reception to follow, honoring our parishioners who have served and gone before us.
While summer is a busy time for many, it also gives us a bit of freedom to do something out of our ordinary routine. Check out our stewardship opportunities section to find ways you and your kids can help out around the parish and in the community.
I especially want to mention that we are working very hard to finish a complete remodel of the house next to mine by July 1st so that Fr. Greisen can move into it—I don’t mind if he sleeps in his office, but I think to be good ministers of hospitality we’d like to finish this house so that he has a bed to sleep in.
Otherwise, he may just have to camp out in a tent in my backyard! We still need a lot of help finishing this remodel, and we’ll update the bulletin weekly with new projects as they come in. Many people have already given a lot of their time and expertise to this project, and we are grateful for their good stewardship and willingness to give to their neighbor!
Pax, Fr. Dave
